Like many traditions and festivities, Mothering Sunday began with a religious purpose. It changes date due to Easter and is held on the fourth Sunday in Lent, exactly three weeks before Easter Sunday.
happy mothering sunday to you. here in north america it's the second sunday in may and florists have a hey time with sales, much more so than valentine's. just as well, mothers are really deserving of love.
