Brits will grasp summer at every and earliest opportunity, we never know how long it will last or if it will come back again this year.
I once sunbathed in shorts and vest in April and some newly arrived to UK Ozzies walked past us wrapped in scarves, fleecies and hats, we each thought the other group was mad!
I'm still best friends with one of those Ozzies, who has assured me on many occasions I would find Perth WA too hot in the summer.
I understand that response to summer as I used to live in a similar climate. Fabulous photo of this shadow that does tell the story of summer hoped for!
