Jackie - I did get the get pushed challenge up and running for Derrick. Poor guy - he needs some encouragement so I also dropped him a note to ask him to continue.
I told him that it is up to him to count the votes and announce the winner. I will be on the road and traveling for the next month or so so may not be able to make sure he is able to do it.
I will be able to do the Weekly SH*T list all the time though, just not this on the weekend.

I think that Derrick is quite a bit older and not familiar with internet protocol so I think he can be forgiven for his lack of knowledge and courtesy.

And as for voting - he did ask (but I think it was after he voted) and I told him not to.

About manners - I find that most men do not appreciate (or notice) gestures like this the way we women do. I think it comes from a lifetime of women picking up after them ... starting with mothers and going on to their wives.
I think most men just take it for granted that it is done for them and do not even notice that it was done. I find this particularly in older men whereas the younger ones tend to help out and therefore notice when things are done for them.
I sometimes get so overwhelmed at the sheer vastness of Canada. It takes 24 hours of straight driving to get out of Ontario alone - east to West!
We made it halfway. From Glen Robertson to Sault Ste. Marie which is on the Great Lakes between Lake Huron and Lake Superior.
We plan on getting to Dryden tomorrow night, Regina (Saskatchewan) on Saturday night and on to Calgary (Alberta) on Sunday.
Will try to send you a good email tomorrow night.

Thank you, Jackie for doing the Weekly SH*T list last week. The old laptop computer I am using on this trip is VERY slow and I will be lucky to post a photo a day with it!
So - yes - I would appreciate it if you could do the Weekly SH*T list for the whole time I am gone. I will be back around March 23rd.
The trip from our place in Glen Robertson (south east of Ottawa and east of Cornwall near the St. Lawrence River) to Calgary is 40 hours of driving ... not including the stops to get gas and let the dogs out.
This is a vast and wonderful country.
We are heading up to Grand Prairie today weather permitting, It is snowing hard at the moment so we may wait a day for safer driving.
I'm not sure if you have hauled out the atlas so I am keeping you posted on our itinerary.
