This is the spray from a wave. Ten minutes later the sky was black, the visibilty very much reduced and two boats capsized, one broke its mast. All in all a fun morning on the water for the children, for this grown up slightly less so as doing patrol boat for children is more stressful than it is for racing adults!!
Such a glorious action shot, very atmospheric. We are get challenged partners this week and I have been trying to come up with something that is a bit different for you, so I would like you to think of your favourite author (I don't know why but I am sure you are a reader) and take a photo that would be suitable for one of their book covers. Hope this is ok but if you just don't fancy it I will think of something different.
@30pics4jackiesdiamond How wonderful to work in a bookshop! I love books, bookshops, libraries and anything to do with books. The first book that really caught my imagination that I can remember reading was Coot Club by Arthur Ransome, it took me to a very different place than I was used to in London. I have just finished reading The Lost Bookshop by Evie Woods, a fascinating read, have you read it?
