Late Flowering Hollyhocks with Nibbled Leaf

@salza wrote 'As your get pushed challenge partner this week my challenge to you is to take an abstract shot with texture as the main component. I hope that you are happy with the challenge, if not I will dream up something else for you.'
So I Googled abstract photography and it seems it's very macroish - you get so close you don't get to see the whole object
Have followed her advice to use a large apperture
@salza final offering for get-pushed. Thank you for your challenge, don't think camera's been on auto all week. Not sure I'm happy with composition- doesn't follow rule of thirds or phi thingy and it's sooc but it's not too displeasing.

I like the shallow dof and the colour in the background. I'm glad that you have enjoyed the challenge. Sometimes not following the rule of thirds is the best choice.

Cool POV. Love the pop of red color.

@homeschoolmom thank you
@carole_sandford these were prematurely cut back due to him falling on them ( don't ask!) And they've sprouted vigorously and the tiniest of blooms!
