Mary is my partner again this week and she's very weary at the moment so asked me to portray 'Brain Dead'.
This is an installation at the Surrey Sculpture Park and she looks like she's made of washing line wrapped around a mannekin (price tag in the 10s of £1000s!!). Her backdrop is trees with sunlight streaming through.
I wondered if I could also squeeze this in for BW challenge of long exposure, something I'm not too experienced with and so I moved the dial on the camera to TV and fiddled with numbers, worked out that's how long I would have to hold my breath for to stop camera shake!, so I did a bit of ICM by downwards panning- hoping to end on her face area.
Shame it's taken me all of August to understand abstract for the abstractaugust theme eh?!
Brain Dead 's a threefer- as I''ve used Mary's words in my challenge as inspiration for my title!!
This is great Jackie!!Thanks for thinking of putting it in the b&w18. the lack of colour really suits your "brain dead" theme. It will be interesting to see what else works well in the b&w. Cheers
P.S. Now I know why you really liked colour better - it wasn't just strawberries! :)
