I'm going to change to profile to ask challengers not to set white on white until at leat 2030 (year not time)
I was challenged to take a white on white, but to do so indoors. I set up my light box studio (it's a cumbersome 2' cube when assembed) used the lights and my flexilamp, all to try to get rid of shadows.
Then wandered around the house looking for something white- and remembered the mundane salt challenge.
I played with aperture, EV +/-, white balances, angle of lamps, even used the real tripod and set camera on 3 second delay and burst to capture falling salt crystals. I then visited Ribbet to see if I could remember how to edit it and that's when I began to lose my love of 365 and then I lost it completely when I coul'dnt improve the whiteness!!
So, I think I will now go and vacuum up all the fallen grains of salt, then find a wild thing to point camera at to remind me that this IS an enjoyable hobby.
Please do look at my exif details and any advice on what I should have done will be gratefully received, but probably read next week!

@fbailey Here you go Felicity!! I gave up after 50+ goes and a flat battery! A great challenge (despite my narrative!) but this really is my bête noire and I really hve no idea what I'm doing wrong with the lighting and shadows when doing indooors.
Aww ... we all have our bete noir and it is good that you have the courage to tackle yours!
I think you are too hard on yourself here. You really set the bar high by adding movement to an already tough shot. It turned out wonderfully though with your light creating glitter on the salt.
There isn't much info found in your exif file for some reason, though. (I can never figure out why this happens sometimes).
Francoise once told me that WoW shots need to have some shadows since it would be just a sheet of white without them.
My only suggestion is to try to over-expose your WoW shots so that it gives them that high key look and adds that extra white feel. Think high key next time!
But this is truly great shot and a A FAV!
@summerfield in 2030!! I was on apperture, should have tried on manual ( I forget about the M button!!) @ludwigsdiana shame it wasn't an action challenge! @365anne thanks Anne @joansmor really? V kind @merrelyn oh you must give it a go, honestly!! @Dawn so kind Dawn @farmreporter v kind Wendy @fbailey think too ambitious for me too!!
@30pics4jackiesdiamond - you can always tell your partner to give you another assignment if you don't want to do a particular push - you know that, don't you?
Beautiful shot...the glow of light in the background is so fine...& if you do figure it out...let me know...that & how to shoot snow (altho I hope not to ever have the opportunity again!!!)
