The Fitzalan Chapel is part of a rare church building in that it is divided into two worship areas, one Catholic and one Anglican, with the western side of the church building occupied by the Anglican church of St Nicholas.
This is a view of the Catholic chapel, the private mausoleum of the Dukes of Norfolk, taken through the dividing metal grille and glass window.
Thank you @4rky for a great day meandering around the town, cafes and muddy paths of Arundel.
What a very strange set-up - you would have to wonder how it ever came about. Your image is so good - it just shows the Catholic side in all its glory - especially the beautiful roof structure.
Interesting idea. Glad the building could be shared. Better than shutting it down or change the use to residential or business, as many church buildings here have done.
