A very kind photographer showed where the owl was hunched in the gorse bush and we watched it preen and rouse for over an hour. I bet it took off and circled the field, accompanied by a kingfisher after we left!
What a privilege to have watched it in the sunshine. Photographers with huuuge camouflaged lenses, sturdy, collapsible seats and tripods - and me with my point and shoot.
Fabulous. I can’t better this. What a super little camera. Just had a thought - maybe the owl was sitting on the Kingfisher so that’s why we didn’t see it fly or see a Kingfisher.
How exciting to have even seen it at all in the daytime. A fabulous capture of it through the gorse. Unfortunately you are probably right about the kingfisher.
