I took a clump of lily of the valley from Maggie's front garden and planted them in five different areas in mine. I have leaves and a few with tiny white bells.
I wish I could remember the rhyme Maggie told me last year, as she watched me pick some of her flowers.
Next to Daffodils, they're my favorite flower- after all I was born in May! There was a poem/song my mom used to sing, and it went:
White coral bells upon a slender stalk
Lilies of the valley line my garden walk.
Oh, don't you wish that you could hear them ring?
That will happen only when the fairies sing.
Such a gorgeous shot with great DoF! Really nice on the black background. I can almost smell them they are so crisp!
