Survivors of Neglect

I adopted the hellebore from my friend's garden, she'd dug it up six weeks earlier. I divided it into three and two survived to produce stunning purple flowers. They're rarely watered, unless by rainfall, and lead the way in sprouting up, ahead of the peonies next to them.

This year I might treat them to a dressing of horse poo.
Lovely colors and processing
