Camera club outing to Hayling Island Sailing Club coincided with a training session of the RNLI. Had a peek inside the station and watched the launch and a couple of hours later the landing of the two boats.
They were called out twice yesterday to help a yacht and a powerboat.
Love the RNLI, especially as Hubby once had to be rescued after a seal stole the propellor on the yacht (yes, really!), the wind dropped completely, there was a huge storm coming in 6 hours and an exposed bay of serious numbers of rocks to navigate without engine or wind! RNLI got them to a safe haven before it hit. Marvellous people, fearless and selfless.
