Red on red 1

For get pushed this week @stephanies challenged me to work with "red on red". Here is my first attempt but I do not like the pinky/purpley shadow, tried lots of things but could not make it go away!
@stephanies Here is my first try at your challenge

Superb first attempt. I could not see the shadow until you pointed it out

Great attempt. I have baled out of Get Pushed for now, but I think I should push myself to try this one! Does not look easy at all

Hi Anne, well done. Red on red is not easy, red is not easy by itself! You often have to underexpose to capture the colour. I see the pinky/purple colour, just wondering too was the flash on? Do you photograph in raw, you might be able to retrieve the colour in editing.

@stephanies Thanks Stephanie. That shadow seems to disappear on some screens! I didn't use flash and can't shoot in raw as I just have a bridge camera and raw is not an option. Will try again with a different subject

@sarahlth Thank you Sarah, the shadow is mire obvious on some screens than others, can't see it at all on my tablet!

@seacreature Thank you for your comment Desi, have a try, why not?

Yes, I checked on my mobile/cell and you can hardly see it at all on that! I have this problem with my pics too, they vary from device to device as well.. makes it so hard with editing. I read somewhere that it may have something to do with calibrating the laptop, but I haven't got round to doing anymore research on it and not sure I want to bother with it either.

@stephanies Ah, that sounds interesting, not sure what or how to calibrate my laptop though. Thanks for taking the time to check it out on other devices and report back.
@dawnee Thank you
@hermann Thanks Sally
@anniesue Thank you Annie-Sue, it really does depend on what you are looking at it on - device wise, it is fine on my tablet and not so good on my laptop!
@farmreporter Thank you for your encouragement Wendy, always appreciated
