Another delightful discovery today: St. Mike's College (part of the University of Toronto) has erected a small outdoor skating rink and today was its grand opening. This was Giovanna's brainchild. Giovanna, on the right, is the president of the student council. She wanted to encourage student engagement and athletic participation. Skates, purchased second hand, coffee, and snacks were all available to students for free. As people walked by her stand, Giovanna would call out, "Would you like to skate?" And she had lots of takers!
