Another rock... by robz

Another rock...

With its rough texture it seemed to work better with the micro/macro setting. Many thanks to Paula @bluemoon for identifying yesterday's rock as Labradorite. Thanks also for all of your kind comments - they put that rock on both the TP and the PP! :)
Nice👍😊

Fools gold ( iron pyrites?)?

@30pics4jackiesdiamond Hi Jackie - I don't think so - it's basically a black shiny matrix with a lot of assorted different crystals embedded in it. Pretty gorgeous. :)

@kvphoto Hi KV - I don't think it is Pyrites - it's many types of crystals all embedded together in a dark background mass. The micro/ macro camera has its own extra built-in light source which has created some of the differently lit regions in this photo, some of which are showing up as that gold colour. Cheers Rob

It looks like pyrite to me from this picture too, but if you reckon it isn't maybe it is sphalerite which is rather similar. Not easy to spot from this shot though. Whatever it is it looks rather pretty.

Nice and shiny- I know very little next to nothing about crystals, rocks and gems. Nice shot.
