If St Francis loved animals so much that he was made a saint for doing so, then I'm on his team! I think Ron @stray_shooter also took photos of this statue so I look forward to seeing his take. (He just posted it: http://365project.org/stray_shooter/365/2014-06-01 I love how we each viewed it...) We commented that everywhere you look, there's evidence of spider's webs, but to me they speak of things that have seen the passage of time and wear it well. (And if it's MORE webs you want, check out Ron's other photo...he did far better than the one-I-didn't-post... http://365project.org/stray_shooter/photo-a-day-14/2014-06-01
Beautifully composed and I love the bokeh backdrop. Perhaps the spider knows she's safe with St. Francis.
How neat that you and Ron had a photo shoot together! I'm so envious, of the both of you. I don't recall my ears burning but maybe I wasn't paying close enough attention. I'm honored to have been a part of your conversation and considered worthy of fan'dom. :)
Funny, I came to this shot after seeing Ron's version in his album! Both great shots....different takes on this statue of my absolute favorite saint.....if I had a wish it would be to be able to talk to animals, and be surrounded by them! Love the cobwebs and the bokeh....
