On Your Mark!... Get Set!...

Though confined, I'm well entertained by the on-going backyard Olympics!
Utterly delightful to be greeted by this as I try to start my day with a nice hot cup if tea. Fav

They certainly seem to enjoy your garden

@ethelperry Thanks, Ethel! I'd hardly posted it when you treated me to a lovely bit of instant gratification! Lovely to delight one another in this fashion. (So glad you have your Michael, as I have Ken, as we convalesce...) ♥

Too funny!

Wonderful capture Louise! Is this your new pool you have been having built? And does the duck live on it?

@pamknowler I just read your note to Ken and he said, "Yes and Yes"... It was no sooner filled day-before-yesterday, and he came gliding in! He (and the wife) typically only come morning & evening to dine, but I think he looks beautiful in this new setting! The hardscape is complete now. I suppose I should have Ken take an update photop to share; we're loving it, a job well-done by some amazing workmen.

Great catch, the pool looks tempting, are you able to get in ? Is your ankle in plaster? At least you have some great subjects for your lens!

I hate to say this but I believe that little squirrel had a paw up before he should have. Too cute

@Weezilou Hows the back coming along Louise. Been thinking about you, especially after this weekend. I was trimming a tall shrub and over stretched causing a severe back spasm. Wow, I am still trying to get over it. Hope you are feeling better.

Awesome picture! I love it! The glimpse of your pool looks great too. Your yard could be considered a wildlife sanctuary. I'm glad you get to see the backyard Olympics first hand. The smiles it brings is sure to assist in the recovery process. 😊

@flashster78 Thank you, Lorraine! Being 18, I'm guessing you're a busy student as well as an exceptional photographer! I always appreciate the faves you've left and am glad to now hear from you, but you have a lot of friends & followers, so just know I appreciate your time!

So glad you've got this fantastic entertainment to speed your recovery! The ducks have obviously been monitoring the pool building just waiting for 'swim time'! I hope the warmth and the pool might be a good therapy for you in time.

Too funny. Hope you are up and around soon.

This made me laugh! Great timing! I had a squirrel on the tree in my front yard the other day but my photos can't hold a candle to this one.

Thanks dear Louise for you visits and all those lovely comments.
To you Judith comment : Those who knows beauty prefer it.

OMG, this is too funny! You caught the two personalities perfectly -- the serene grace of the duck and the frenetic hyperactivity of the squirrel. I hope we will see further installments of this rivalry!

Before I read your title I thought, '...and the race started'. Then I read your title, guess we think alike. Fun capture and glad you are entertained, while laid up.
