So I read yesterday that Tracy was extending the tag challenge, one I'd not planned to partake in. Her plea was touching, so I brought up the tags, closed my eyes, and 4-5 times clicked outside the worded range... Then voila! "Sunrise"...*not* my time of day, but I'd have two chances to get it. Next, "Home"...not a good combination if it's to be "my" home...the front of the house faces south.
But Ken checked the time of sunrise, and I awoke before then. "MUST NOT fall back asleep... Only two chances..." At the appointed time of 6:21 I staggered out into the cul de sac, Ken chiding me that the neighbors would think I'm crazy. No sun rays to be seen...they're out back. Through the house to the yard, thinking my assignment a rather pathetic attempt, fully lacking glorious cloud cover and the next-door-neighbor's house blocking what little view there was to be had.
Trying to engage my brain to utilize the best light setting...snap...snap...snap...ahhh...a couple there that would do... Now "in the can", so to speak, I returned to bed...
...and didn't get up until 10:15. These photo assignments can be very draining!
Haha...I love your story! This beautiful rising sun image was well worth your efforts. I love those rays and the glow on the house. Surely when you look at this image in the future, it will make you smile as you remember what you did to get it! :-)
@gaylewood Thanks for pointing that out, Gayle! The light on the back window shows up better... Thanks for coming by! @aglennc I know I'm writing to another obsessed photographer, Anita! You understand! (Did you get my note? Send me your mailing address!) @kwind Thanks, Kim! It was the best I could hope for this morning!
Great to see you so dedicated to your art. Lucky you didn't get Sunrise and Mountain, Sea or something else that meant you'd have to drive miles to get a shot! I got Leaves and Branches but thought no-one would believe I actually landed on those two together so I didn't enter.
Your description makes me smile - 'staggering' would be the right word! Apart from actually opening your eyes to see where you are going! Well done with the photo - the choice of tags must be a challenge!
Well I needed Google translate to read and understand the whole story. But I think I got it. We are crazy as it comes to take a super photo. I needed three hours to clean my car after the visiting and taking the pic.`s of the bulb fields. Clay on. in, at , every where.
Louise!! I just logged in to not get my account deleted, and I can very easily get hooked on 365 again! I think that's the one reason I stopped posting regularly - it's an obsession! I love all my 365 friends, though and it's so nice to stay in touch! I thought of you when I was in San Francisco in December - a squirrel came up to me in the park and gave me a high five! :-) I am so happy to see that you are still keeping your project up!
