(Am I the only one who heard that phrase growing up?)
I took this to represent my little purchases at the Art Gallery Attic Sale that was held this morning. The most expensive item in this picture was $5. As I unpacked my new-to-me treasures, I thought some of them might make a lovely arrangement. Since I take the photos for the gallery events (and did so at the sale this morning), I thought this would be a good way to show what was missed if one hadn't attended!
As for myself, I was pretty happy, and happier still that it was already useful for a photo!
What a lovely arrangement of treasures. The teacup and saucer would've definitely caught my eye at the sale. Good thinking, using this photo to show others what they missed out on by not being at the event.
@lyndemc Since the sale is the end of the year fund raiser for the gallery, it was just a way to show a fraction of what had been available. Maybe they need a photo like this to kick off the show next year and draw people in. Of course "this isn't everyone's cup of tea"...
yes I've heard it too but with the word budget. Guess it depends where you come from. Love the cup and saucer and I think it would be a great advertisement for next year
@Cherrill Thanks, m'friend! In reply, the answer is, "...but of course!" From my front garden, I keep bringing them inside, hoping they'll dry over the winter, but they're so fresh still, they're not ready to give up! (And when I picked up that little compote, I thought it would look sweet with the flowers in it....)
The quote is like Chinese to me . Like the table setting. Although I prefer modern style I can enjoy the old fashion too. I explain it by .. to understand the paintings of Mondriaan you have to love those of Rembrandt first.
