I can't begin to tell you all how enthused we are with our current houseguests, Adam & BJ! These young men are musicians, in Lunenburg for a week to study early Italian music. Their instrument is not a trombone, but a Sackbut, which was developed in the mid-15th century.
Along with another musician and friend, étienne, we went out to photograph the moon as it rose...Phenomenal! Then we turned back up the road a short distance to get the sunset, as I'd asked if I might get a silhouette of them with the instruments. They were also keen to have the picture and Adam says he's already posted it on FB.
We came home and had bacon-wrapped scallops for dinner and then sat around the table talking until almost 10! I loved the music history lesson we got, and further discovered we all love cooking, and in one case, photography! I can't believe how lucky we feel that they'll be here through next weekend!
@lynnz@kerosene Wow gals! Thank you BOTH! We always know we're in for a treat when we host musicians! I hope for some photos...they're delighted to pose...win/win! They DID tell me "The Music Man" pose doesn't go with a sackbut! ; )
Simply stunning Louise! What an evening you had! The super moon rising plus this gorgeous sunset! Beautiful silhouettes too! To top it all bacon wrapped scallops! Sounds Mouthwatering! Your two guests sound so interesting! Huge Fav for your fab shot!
What an idyllic setting! JIm and I were just talking about you two last night as we went through places we'd like to visit (and people to see) on our bucket list.
@allie912 Your comment resonates with the fact that they'll be studying 15th Century music, and like here, their music, surrounded by natural beauty has a timeless quality. Thanks for your thoughtful stop over.
Excellent capture Louise. :) Make a note on your calendar for Monday. I plan on popping by and I can always swing by the airport to pick up Ms.V on the way. @summerfield
