@annied@pcarlaw@daphne1212 His were like the antics of my grandson...trying to peeve me by making it difficult to take photos! Crazy cat! (and Not Mine, you understand...hahaha!)
I thought I was going to be photographed raindrops too but the wind blew all the water off of the branches. Sort of wish I'd have a cat join me like yours has. What a buddy!
@lifepause He sleeps hard, Jae, but when he's awake, he's 100% mischief afoot! @lyndemc Nice to have alternative choices, isn't it! As soon as I got this I abandoned the leaf project and came in and uploaded this one!
@pamknowler I was trying to position the low sun to catch a bit of sparkle and out of the corner I see him tight-rope walking up a long branch (you can see how loose and twisted they are!). Next thing, the leaves are bobbing and I'm getting exactly nothing! I look up, and hear him say, "I'm ready for my close-up Mr DeMille..." He is funny funny funny!
@stray_shooter or do you mean the cat's stuck in the tree? In my case, I'm not watching my feet and angling for a shot and looking over at the cat...and bam! That would be ME again needing rescuing!
@gilbertwood He looks all cloaked in Innocence but he has a bit of the Devil in him, can't you see?! He's now, officially (because he never leaves!), "Tigerpuss" He IS a lover...great cat!
@pyrrhula We don't have brick houses out here, Ferry...too dangerous in an earthquake! Nearly all houses are framed with chicken-wire and stucco over that. The brick facade is for decoration, and most houses have a little of that as well. The chimney is concrete, and there's a form that makes the impression of bricks on it... Like movies in Hollywood...it's all fake!
Hope you werent up the tree too. I was very interestrd in your reply to Ferry. Is the chicken wire around a wooden frame. We have a double brick house which is common in our part of Australia but as our clay soil expands and contracts a lot the plaster on the inside walls tends to develop cracks.. Even in Australia its interesting to see the different materials used to build houses. In some parts they are all timber because there was access to lots of timber
@brigette Hi Bridgette! You'd love this little fellow! He loves to play, and has immediately befriended our indoor cat of 13 years! He has a lovely disposition!
@cruiser Fascinating! A double-brick house! Obviously, across America, we have many types of homes, but it's primarily the earthquakes that dictate the building codes here. In Nova Scotia, our wood-framed house was built in 1888, and I couldn't believe what we learned about how the wood would swell & contract through the year. A cabinet we can't keep closed when we arrive, we can hardly pull open 5 months later! Likewise, in the winter, cracks will widen in the (old) lathe and plaster walls and yet, when it becomes hot in the summer, we can't even see those cracks! I had no idea!
@brigette My daughter-in-law gave me a plaque that reads, "Everyone knows that no one owns a cat"! It might explain why I've been "adopted" by this guy who was already hanging out in our yard 2 years ago! I'd forgotten about those early encounters until I came across this photo just a day or two go! http://365project.org/Weezilou/365/2015-07-02

Is the house build of real bricks ?
