Every child is an artist.
The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up. ___Pablo Picasso
This one little notebook has become a slow-to-grow project, so I asked two of my grandkids if they'd draw me some zoo animals to use on the inside covers. Because Bodhi's tiger was a vertical image, I filled in with "Conner" at the San Diego zoo.
As I began with Hazel's "Zoo Monster" I wasn't sure where it was going to lead me...until I remembered a very dangerous monster, indeed!
Both wonderful pieces of art which deserve to have pride of place in your book. I am sure your enthusiasm for all animals will rub off on the children! How they will love your book as they grow! Fav!
@pamknowler Just planning these for notebooks with blank pages; Heather says they fill them fast! With any luck they'll have a page or two left and not torn out to save for looking at when they're older!
Oh, my silly little artists! Mom, I'm glad you're able to do all these wonderful things; life and child-rearing seems to take most of my time these days. I am grateful for you. xo
@biggirlart Your words warm my heart! Ashley told me one of her fond childhood memories was waking at 3 AM and seeing me in my art room... That's when busy mommies find a few minutes to be creative (beyond child-rearing!)
@cjphoto A tongue! Of course!!! I kept thinking "nose"! See, I've lost that child-edge Picasso spoke of! I knew that "nose" wasn't really working! Kids make noses the shape of triangles!
