Without cloud cover, I can entertain myself for the length of a plane trip, just taking photos from the window! On this day in late June we'd turned inland flying over South Orange County where the view below is to the upscale resort community of Cota de Caza and on their northern flank the road leads into Trabuco Canyon. I placed an arrow into the canyon road and circled the general area of the burn shown on a google map.
The news says the firemen are trying to keep the fire from burning to the other side and the community of Lake Elsinor. As many people love the elevated views from the mountain slopes, it's a populated area. I know firemen come from all around, but with so many fires burning, they must be stretched to their limits. Keep them in your prayers...
Thanks for giving the fires this perspective from above - no wonder they are so horrendous! I'm thinking of you as a team from here (Oz) has gone over to assist.
Same here in SA! Praying for all those brave fighters and those who have to flee their homes. Thinking of all the creatures suffering too. Thanks for the perspective.
This does give perspective to what the firefighters are dealing with. Our local news leads with the fires every night, I know several fire departments in our area have gone to help. Just devastating for your beautiful state, prayers always for the fighters and the victims.
Such a good perspective of the terrain they are dealing with in these terrible fires. I know firefighters from all over are helping fight the f ires. The firefighters are true heros. I do hope they get the fires under control soon.
Great view and capture.
We do. Those are brave man.
We have nature fires to. This year a record amount of then, but, gladly the area`s are not as big and we have a very good prevention and rescure model. Still very sad .
Golly whizz, this shot gives a good idea of the difficult terrain for the fire-fighters. I profoundly hope Mother Nature helps out soon, before there's any more tragedies and losses.
So scary to see how close the fire is to the town! We are seeing details of your fires every day on tv and I keep thinking of those poor people who have lost everything! Also how many animals have been lost? So sad! Praying the fires stay away from anywhere near you and your family! Xx
