What a beautiful sight the twelve sloops were, cutting back and forth out in the harbour! There were probably only 40 people there on the dock to watch, but most were armed with their cameras.
This was a typically crazy summer day...
We were up at 8:30 and had coffee
We went down to the dock at 9:30 to see the Bounty...which wasn't open until 10.
So we went back home for another cup of coffee...
Back to the Bounty at 10:15 and toured the ship, bought some shirts and bought the photo they took of us.
From there we went to an art show that opened at 11...LOVED the paintings by Amy Rice from Minnesota. Ken got me one for my upcoming birthday...
Next stop, home to make zucchini bread and get it into the oven before we returned to the dock to watch the Parade of Sails at noon.
When we realized the sloops were running late, I called our neighbour to take the bread out of the oven before we'd be back...
The view above is how we enjoyed a lovely hour and a half; very tranquil and there was a light breeze and lots of sunshine.
When it was over, we came home and Ken painted the back deck and I fixed dessert.
We're going to Billy and David's for dinner and a movie tonight...
Chalk up another great day!
This is amazing Louise. Love the colours and the sharpness. Also you nailed it on the composition, it has a 3D look. Hope the zuccinni bread was good. Sounds like a great day and hope your movie night is a good one
