I hate to be a bother to the little ones, but I had to take a peek. Even from a distance, I thought I saw the mother sitting on the side of the nest, so I ran upstairs for my camera, fully expecting she'd be gone when I returned...but no...As I took a couple of pictures, there was that familiar "hummming sound" and I realized that this was one of the babies sitting there! The mom sat where I could see her more clearly, so I got a video clip of her and the babies who'll be leaving us soon... ...sooner than I anticipated two days ago! (Talk about being squeezed out of the nest!)
I know I broke every rule about composition with the inset, but I had to share the profile that I first saw with that "fuzzy little bottom"! Amazingly, the second baby can't be seen from this angle, but from the opposite side, there they were together!
@allie912 I haven't looked at my clips yet, but it wouldn't be very long...with one album left today, I might do it as I like having a journal of sorts. If I could ever catch the raccoon's frolicking, that could bump that photo to the top of the list! Who knew I'd find a compilation of wildlife like this in my suburban back yard!
