What a crazy scene. This may be a silly question but I'm asking anyway - are you anywhere near where the cruise ships dock? When Greg and I got engaged in 2003, we took a cruise to Bermuda that ended up in Nova Scotia because of a hurricane. I remember how beautiful it was but I really remember how steep the street was up from the wharf.
@dgrynn Oh, I know EXACTLY the spot you're talking about! The ships dock in Halifax which is a 1-hr drive north of us. The cruise ships often offer day tours to Peggy's Cove and Lunenburg. I laugh as your description of the Halifax hills... We know a man who wanted to show us around town when we first visited there...it would have been summer...he'd lived there all his life and always walked to work...plays soccer, too... Well, he took off at a sprint so we'd have time to see everything and I recall absolutely dripping as I tried to keep up! We still go to Halifax, but I've learned to see it at a MUCH slower pace!
@Weezilou LOL! Someday I'd love to back there and enjoy it as you said - a much slower pace. We were there in August and the weather was warm so I opted for a ride up the hill but walked back down. Not sure down was any easier because it felt like gravity was not my friend!

Great view outside the window, nice framing too.
