Quilt Show 2 ... No needles and thread were harmed in the making of this project

For good reason, one should view art and find new inspiration. I don't think I realized at the time how much inspiration I was getting at the Quilt Show in Mahone Bay...

This began with a photo of leaves on grass from which I removed the shades of green...
That image made a cool email card which I sent already...
I made a new 4x6 template and "cut 16 rectangles" from that leaf image, piecing them together as a quilt...
On the same day as my Red riding-hood selfie was taken, Ken took this of me in the graveyard...
Cut away that image, fade to black & "stitch" it to
the quilt...
Superimpose the whole thing to my morning photo of the tree across the street, and Voila!

No, besides this, I haven't done much else yet today. (However, for someone new to editing this sort of thing, it's super simple... WAY easier than hand stitching a fabric quilt!)

Maybe this info will help you, Danette @danette What little I know about this I learned mostly by trial and error. This really was awfully simple...which isn't the same as "quick"!

And BTW, this is for the 5+2_selfie challenge/"reverse")
So colourful!

@teiko @pyrrhula Thank you both for two "different" compliments! No, Emilie, this is not a cloth quilt! Everything you see began as as photo since Saturday. The caption explains how I did it as Danette @Danette keeps saying she doesn't know how to do this. What you see has a lot of layers, but was very very simple! Ferry, @pyrrhula same to you on this! Skilled as I know you to be, this is a beginner class! And every time I finish something like this, I start thinking of how I might do it differently (and a bit better), so it's "learning in progress)... Thank you both for sharing the road with me!
