Birds of a Feather ... by Weezilou

Birds of a Feather ...

Slim pickin's today m'friends! It's just a photo-journal day... Back yard will look a lot different when we return in two weeks (I choose to see this as "a glass half-full moment"...) The ducks and birds haven't been deterred for a moment... I asked the contractor how they would keep the animals off the cement when they pour it... His honest answer was that "some homeowners like that little memento in the cement"... OK..I'll buy that! I just hope the ducks don't come sliding in as though on water skis!
A water skiing duck? Now that a photo you need to get!!! You have ducks come into your yard too? Hey, what's that background that looks like ice on an Alaskan glacier?

You're not buying the story, "Ice in an Alaskan glacier?" (It sounds much more beautiful than the actual answer!) That's the chipped out pool...a cement hole in the ground! Good things are about to happen...

Well, if your ducks to ski into your newly poured concrete, that will be quite the legend to pass on!

Do n`t the cover it with a sheet ? Or, save the foot prints to make you own :Duck Hall of Fame . Do you stay 2 weeks in Hawaii ? Lucky you.

I think I like your contractor! The animals are pretty adaptable, aren't they?

@pyrrhula I like that idea...though I probably won't be home to rescue it! Duck Hall of Fame...you're very funny Ferry...I like it! We have settled into our condo after a 13 hour day from pick-up at the house to arrival here. We will be awake early because of the time change...I'll be ready to greet the day! Yes, *almost* two weeks... we leave here late afternoon on the 12th.

@stray_shooter I can't believe how the animals haven't hesitated for a moment! The ducks especially...they might fly over and land opn the roof next door...and then fly down! Two ducks and a 4-year-old boy will be ecstatic when they can swim there again!

Nice, candid shot of your menagerie.....I just hope the ducks don't end up with "concrete shoes".....that is, if they haven't pissed off anyone! ;-))
