Another mini-meet-up of the Orange County contingent tonight in Huntington Beach! Yes, the sky and ocean were incredible beyond words! Everytime we thought we'd seen it all, it kept getting more amazing! I got the notion of a silhouette group photo, and Tamber @MrsVanPatten did the staging. Ken did all the heavy lifting and nailed my photo-choice for the evening! That's Tamber on the left, "Birthday Boy" Ron @stray_shooter, me, Louise/Weezilou and Elizabeth @redy4et. Elizabeth's husband, Mark joined us, and the evening volleyed between introspective and laugh-a-minute! Dinner was at Dukes, and Ron got the Hula-Pie Birthday Treat that was passed around the table (yum!) The troops in San Diego were missed by all of us, but we've got momentum and will see everyone again soon!
@golftragic Nice call there, Marnie, thanks! I hadn't thought of that! We had a really fabulous time! This group is so much fun! With each new addition it gets even better!
@redy4et Having Mark along tonight made you twice as darling as I already thought you were! I love seeing how husbands of 365 photographers handle "the pressure" of their spouses advocation! Yep, Mark looks upon it much as Ken does! What a hoot!
You're right! My husband puts up with all the fuss about 365. But now that he's met Ron, I have a feeling I'll be riding 2-up to Glacier come July! hope Fair is fair--right?
I think my heart needs a bit of shaping, however this came out spectacular! Well done Ken!!!! It was so nice meeting some of the Cal 365 excited to meet more of this creative group, thanks again Ron for letting me use your lens!
Great shot....Ken! Many thanks to you all for the birthday wish. There's no better way to spend one's birthday than spending time with 365 friends and taking pictures while being treated to awesome sunsets! Your heart may need some work, @MrsVanPatten but mine needs even more! Great to meet you and glad you were able to make the gathering.
@thirdjoe We missed you Joe! Thanks for the note this morning, and I heard from Osia @panthora and Christina @pillango35 as well when they couldn't join us. That only means we'll have to plan to do this again soon!

Looks like everything cooperated for this special group photo -- the weather, the sunset, the ocean, the husbands! You radiate fellowship. Looking forward to seeing more of your get together.
@allie912 Oh Allie, these are all lovely people we've met out here! Every one of us (I know!) has that Sally Field moment when we're together! It's just such fun, and almost unimaginable that we should have met in this fashion and been so compatible! When I post, I add their links so you can see more of the evening photos; the sunset was beyond amazing tonight!

@photographycrazy Bill, your photos pop up around the country, but I thought you were a resident of the Bay Area... No? Mike Gifford came down and joined us in SD one weekend. We'd LOVE to have you come be a very special guest in our midst!
