I spent a fair part of today hanging out with blue jays and hoping to get a good photo. I have no trouble bringing them around, but they're so greedy and excited to get as much of the food as possible, they don't tend to hold still for long! Of course the other throwaways are the "good" pictures, but their heads are down, or looking away from me!
I won't have many free days in our remaining weeks here, so I didn't mind sitting out there with the jays and watching their antics up close. I'd love to know their level of desperation that makes them pack their beaks so full of peanuts!
