Drought No More! by Weezilou

Drought No More!

California has turned the corner and we're getting our very normal rainy season, much as it was when we moved here over 40 years ago!
what a beautiful sight it must be for you. we have been enjoying the sound of rain on our roof too and today I walked around our garden enjoying the smell of the damp earth and the sight of wet grass and flowers. A lovely view from your window especially with the beautiful flowers in the corner

At first glance I thought this was from someplace very exotic and tropical. It's lovely! So glad we are getting rain!

I tried getting a photo of rain drops on our window, and I didn't like what I got. You did great here. What's your secret!?

@aglennc In this instance, Anita, I shot beyond the drops on the glass, and used several different speeds to try to capture the heavy rainfall. Too slow, and that smooth effect of a waterfall was lost in this instance, and too fast didn't show just how hard it was raining. Like Goldilocks, I settled on this as I thought it was "just right" :)

So many interesting textures and colors. I'm glad you have gotten through the drought. However I have read the floods have been equally damaging. Moderation in all things!

glad to hear that
