Where we took the boys for dinner, tables are out on the grass, and there's a great play area for children, but don't turn your back on the hamburgers and fries! This lovely gull has honed his thievery skills, and he has many cohorts.
Rather than show I can get a close-up of him, I wanted to share this perch where train tracks run between him and the hedge. There's also an ocean between him and the Chanel Islands in the distance.
I was thinking "king of the castle" sitting up there and looking down on where he can get his next bite to eat! They really are becoming a pest in certain areas over here and have been known to attack people walking along eating to make them drop it! They are even bringing in hawks to drive them off in a few places! You have caught him beautifully Louise and shown him off so well with your great processing! Fav!
Love the angle you took this at. The rock looks like the Morrow Rock from a distance, which make the gull load really gigantic. Perfect processing too.
Mmmm, I spy take-away. Love this shot, so true to form. A couple of weeks ago a crow stole a friend's sandwich (in a plastic bag) from the golf-cart while we were hitting off. She was not amused!
