A friend said it best when he said his wife always feels she's waking up on a movie set. Could any of us disagree on a morning when it looks like this? More from the morning out in the new snowfall...
I posted the photo of the dove and immediately turned in for the night, so what a surprise to see so many of you had stopped by and put the image on the popular page! Thank you for liking that one as it was just a quick pick from a day filled with images transformed!
I'll look back on this when we return to California, and I'll remember that *this* was my Christmas wish come true!
I love this beautiful town and to see it in snow is just perfect! Definitely picture postcard! You will be able to go through all your snow images at your leasure sitting in the warmth of SoCal! Doesn’t that seem strange! Treasured memories Louise! Fav!
So fabulous! Knew it was yours of course. What a great looking place and the snow highlights the colours - especially that vivid green one in the middle. Are there any rules about what colour you choose? fav
I would throw a Christmas party for you all if you could be here! It's 100% Festive, to me, and I feel as though I want everyone to come celebrate the occasion! You've been wonderful to stop by with comments, and, as best I can, I've looked at photos and left comments as time allows...it's the same for all of us, I know! I'll continue to try my best, but all those occasions that were put off over the summer have come in the form of dinner and brunch invitations this last week in town! Everyone's in a festive mood, so what a send off! In the moment, Merry Christmas to each of you, and as time allows, I'll continue to drop by. Baking's done...Packing's begun... Keep your days Jolly! ♥ ♥ ♥ You're wonderful friends to Ken and me!
@Cherrill No rules about the house colours! This town prides itself on being colourful! Because you're looking at the historic district here, there are rules about additions and outside construction. 3rd house from left, back row, is ours, and you can well imagine how is delights us that it falls into a scene like this! Merry Christmas, sweet Cherrill !
@Cherrill PS ... and because I know everyone looks at the comments for the addendums : ) That vivid green is a shop called "Cilantro". It was originally for selling kitchen utensils, but it's changed hands...hasn't changed names...or at any rate, we all still call it that!
How wonderful to have your house included in this scene! Now you point it out of course I recognise it from many other images. Safe travels - I'm so envious that you are heading to the sun!
PS...the home I grew up in was surprisingly photographed on a postcard, showing a typical street in Pacific Palisades in the late 60's-early 70's. It was so fun and I think my mom bought every one at the drug store. I still have one or two of them. :)
how come this didn't show up in my feed? (just checked - no wonder, i lost you and five plus two the other day. dang! righted that right now. :-))
and am i right that that is your home third from the upper left? this is just a very beautiful scene, just as i imagined it would be when i took a pic of this scenery two summers ago. wish i was there! aces, my good friend. aces!
