The shopping village across from the theater has a row of at least a dozen of the tallest palms you're likely to find anywhere! Now try to imagine the wattage of the lights that shine up from below on each of them!
I got a lovely, wide image of the sun setting behind them before we went into the theater. This is what greeted us as we came out. (It reminded me of the South Carolina flag with the palmetto and crescent moon!)
After dinner at exactly 11 PM, the moon was to be viewed far below the top fronds. It was a gorgeous evening!
Wow. Very nice Louise , you live in a beautiful place , I am Viewing your palm trees and moon picture in bed whilst I listen to the rain hitting our window , far from a beautiful evening here and not a Palm tree for thousands of miles..
@allie912 ha! Way ahead of you! See my tags... I said that last night as I photographed it, and everyone was amazed I knew what it looked like... Just one of those tid-bits that got stuck in my brain along the way!
@digitalrn@rangerxenos@dgrynn Thank you all so much! I took this from a parking lot, but moved to a lamp post to steady the camera when the first attempts weren't working. I was glad I had something to share, back in the car, with everyone who was waiting for me!
