Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, UNESCO World Heritage Site
In love being a photographer in Lunenburg! Ken & I "dashed out" to "grab a quick photo" (the statues), and then popped over to the waterfront since I could see the osprey were on the nest. In the space of a half hour I can share another slice of life up here.
@teiko I love your note...people tell me I should work for the Chamber of Commerce here, but I emote and share my pictures because it's a Slice of Heaven! Typically, we come up in late June, celebrate Canada Day July 1 and invite friends to a bbq on the 4th. July weather can be quite warm (80s)...August for the 13 years we've been up is almost always sunny...the fall color changes and is gorgeous...more especially if you take in Cape Breton, NS's island on the north end. Over all this time period, there are more choices to things to do, enjoy and experience than you'll have time to accomplish! We've had friends stay 2 weeks, we do a lot of sightseeing and still can't cover it all. It's all about history and natural beauty. Be sure to let me know if you're up this way! This weekend a couple we met 35 years ago (and haven't seen since then!) are in town and we're enjoying a get together. Let me know if you'd like to be in touch further or need to know more!
