As I was taking my pictures, the caretaker was hosing the flamingo enclosure where this parrot also resides. She raised the hose and gave the two parrots there a lovely sprinkling as they cleaned their feathers, obviously reveling in the moment. Of my series of photos, I liked this coy, over-the-shoulder glance that showed off the beauty of his gorgeous plumage.
Though perched out in the open, the trees in the distance behind him, did a marvelous job of giving a dark backdrop!
