Cute little Notches! He comes by daily, and seems to have replaced Frosty. She was so friendly and came right over to us; we have no idea what happened to her. Notches is far more skittish, but I leave enough treats around for him that he knows he’s always welcome. His task alone is to entertain the cats who enjoy sitting and watching him!
@allie912 And I confess that I immodestly take no small amount of pride in tagging the first squirrel picture here on 365! Thanks for the tip of your hat ; )
Fabulous squirrel capture, Louise! Mine haven't been thrilled with the corn cob feeders so maybe I should try peanuts. I really do enjoy squirrel shots! They are so cute!
@gaylewood Squirrels make wonderful subject matter, so keep them coming back for more! Even more than peanuts, they adore sunflower seeds! http://365project.org/Weezilou/365/2014-03-27 Leave them in a bowl where you can watch and photograph them and they'll stay there for an hour! They do like the peanuts, but tend to scamper off to bury them! Those you see in this picture I crush a bit so they're eaten where I placed them! Good luck and I'll be watching for your pictures!
@Weezilou Oh, my goodness! I just watched your squirrel video! That is absolutely wonderful! We feed the chipmunks at the cottage in Canada by hand but I've never tried a squirrel. Okay, you've inspired me, I'm going to try! :-)
Your food pantry must be interesting with all the different foods you keep for your back yard zoo animals...... This is a fantastic shot of this little guy. Ever see Frosty anymore" Who is this?
I love squirrels, unfortunately my (somewhat recent) dog completely looses his head at the thought of them, driving us crazy whenever we try to take him to the park.
