I was clever enough to check the tide chart the night before, but when I saw low tide was 7:30 AM, I knew I'd have no takers at that hour! I thought it still would be low at 10:30, but, no, it was already a half tide and the tide pools were being covered over again! This beach is a wonderful Marine Preserve, and we certainly were not disappointed, but I'll be watching to see when there's a low tide about mid morning!
What a gorgeous view! I am so looking forward to going to the seaside on Friday but Devon never looked like this! Lol! Sadly the sea will never look this colour! Fav!
ROFL I had a cousin who had a place at the beach and when there were only three tides listed she said it was because the time couldn't be determined. I couldn't convince her it was because each tide was longer than 6 hours and so every few days the 4th tide actually becomes the first tide of the next day. She wasn't good a math either.
@louannwarren For all the years Ken and I have been married, he'd say, "If I work hard, we can attain "this or that"... But when we get to this neighborhood, we know that in our lifetime, some things will remain unattainable! It boggles the mind to see the size of some of the houses that overlook the beach. But I'm happy for those who have it all, and am delighted to visit the neighborhood and take pictures!
@Weezilou You live in such a beautiful state, to be able to drive a reasonable distance and see this scene is so terrific! As long as you can take your wonderful photos, that's the most important thing now, at least for those of us lucky enough to get to see those photos!
Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful places with all of us. BTW, know exactly what you mean about realising that there are some things that will always stay out of reach, been through that process too.
