Does this really show a bit of my day? Well, yes. We have started renovating an old house, and this weight is from a kitchen window. Remember sash windows propped open with books? My how times have changed.
With all the plaster off the walls it is like looking back in history. At one time this old house had carbide lamps, and the gas line still runs to old lamp fixtures. The removal of plaster and closets has revealed old doorways and halls, and reminded me that back in the "good old days" the toilet was out back. I am so thankful for electricity and indoor plumbing!
