Youngest son's birthday present just arrived and is awaiting planting. He loves the shape and colors of the Red Lace Leaf Japanese Maples, and I found one that is supposed to be hardy for our planting zone. Unfortunately, construction is still going on in his yard, so it may be looking for a different home. I graciously offered to put it in my yard and order another for his yard when he has a spot ready for it. I am currently trying out different locations....
