With flat horizons and grassy vegetation what I have the best view of is the sky, particularly at night. With no city lights stargazing is great. However, I have not learned how to take advantage of that for my photography. So, here's my first attempt at the Milky Way, which looked like a blanket of black with some white dots until I discovered noise reduction and some other tweeking in Lightroom. Might still be a bit dark, but I am learning one image at a time. I am beginning to appreciate post-processing! I think I need to find some interesting silhouettes to include, but that's for another night.
lovely shot! I've not tried star photos yet, although I've meant to for months. I think you'll get less noise with a lower ISO than 1600, although you'll need to increase the exposure quite a bit, although there is the danger of getting star trails.
