Even the birds are disgruntled today. Awoke to snow, wind, and freezing temperatures. Out came the snow boots and shovel yet again. The robins were chirping their displeasure while they grubbed about for worms in last year's garden compost. As for me, I scooped the deck and retired to the house to enjoy some hot tea and a good book.
Aaaaw no !!!! another snow fall I feel for you and the poor little Robin is surely showing his displeasure --I never thought they could have such facial expressions !! lol !! -----A fav
Ha ha what a great photo and yep, he most certainly does not look pleased . From a tourist point of view if this is Canada we are very excited . Going there very soon. :-)
I don't blame them. We are having a rocking thunderstorm this morning to be followed by some low temperatures. April is the "cruelest month" sweet little bird.
@leanne333 uhm... just so we're clear - we're pretty darned disgruntled with snow in april in Canada... really hoping it isn't here for much longer ;p where are you going to visit? there are a fair few Canadians on 365 covering the various reaches of the country - but it's a big country :)
Love this shot April... that robin is just chalk full of personality :)
@northy Lol from what we have heard here in Australia, it's not surprising you have had enough of the snow. We are heading to Vancouver, Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper, down the rocky mountains and then the Alaskan cruise. Where I live in OZ, we don't get snow :-(
@leanne333 You are going to see some wonderful bits of Canada....though only about a tenth of our vast country! Vancouver is our warmest year round spot....they rarely get snow...their blossoms are probably already done....there is a LOT of snow in the mountains this year and so, if you're coming out soon, there will probably be some there still. Banff, Jasper, Lake Louise are all glorious....but, like Australia, you need at least a month and preferably two to go across our country coast to coast and really SEE it. (I am in southern Alberta.... @northy is in southern Ontario....it takes 40 hours of solid driving to get from my place to hers!)
We have 3 weeks away and I totally agree, no where near enough but the purse strings can only take us so far lol Oh so you live a fair way away from Vancouver. We leave in a couple of weeks and I am so excited :-) I wont be on here for that duration as I wont have my computer but hopefully will have some amazing photos to share when we get back :-)
Oh and I totally agree with you, the bird really does look like "Angry Bird" lol its such a fantastic shot :-)
