The jays only come through my yard during their migratory movements. I heard their calls in the windbreak, so wandered out to have a look. They come to visit my little apple trees in the fall, but this year there were only a handful of apples so I doubt they will stay long.
Oh, I just love Blue Jays; and you captured this one beautifully, April! We are lucky enough to have them year-round here. They act as sentinels, warning other birds of danger; and they're always the first on the scene when I put out peanuts in the shell. A total pleasure to watch!
