To avoid going crazy while on leave all month, I offered to help out at a local primary school a couple of days each week. Today I was helping the library staff find old or damaged books - I learned a lot about Australian animals and insects on the way through :) For much of the day the room was full of kids, as a couple of classrooms were being renovated. I much preferred it like this :)
BTW - A huge THANK YOU to everyone who voted for my pic in the pattern theme. It was exciting enough to get into the top 5, but my pic actually won! Woohoo! :) I never in my wildest dreams thought any of my pics would ever win anything, so I'm still very, very excited :)
Nice shot - glad you're helping library staff. My wife worked as an assistant library for many years at our local middle school. Can be tough but rewarding.

Congratulations on the pattern win- I loved that photo (and I'm pretty sure I faved it- I'll have to go check) Funny- I did a shot that involved quite children today too- an empty playground. Good shot for silent.
@indianabluejay It was more a very quick grab on my phone while the librarian wasn't around, and an even quicker upload :) Not one of my more thought-out pics :) (I might see what it looks like in monochrome when I get chance...)
