This challenge is proving to be quite... challenging!
Today's country is the birthplace of this book's author. While you might not have heard of Linux, you've probably been exposed to it somewhere. The android software used on many mobile phones is based on the Linux operating system, and it is used in many supercomputers, TVs and computer game consoles - so chances are that you've encountered it somewhere without even knowing it! Tux, the cute penguin, is the Linux mascot.

You are right, I have not heard of Linux. Although the mascot seems familiar to me, so maybe I've seen it and not known what it was. But I'm not sure where to say he's from. You'd think a cold place with a penguin, but it reminds me of the Anime (I think I spelled that wrong) stuff which is Asian, so I going to take a WILD guess and say Japan. You can stop laughing now.
