Ready for Winter

When my husband looked at this he observed it would make a good jigsaw puzzle. I was just amazed at the variations possible in the lowly acorn.

Yes this is a sign of winter to come..they also say when the top of the tree has a lot of pinecones its going to be a strong winter. but lets still enjoy the fall before we think of winter..we had the most glorious weekend weatherwise. can't remember a Thanksgiving weekend as nice as last week's.
