POV 1

Today I am presenting a little exercise in how point of view can be manipulated. Friday evening John and I went to the VMFA (Virginai Museum of Fine Arts) for light supper and a look at the photo exhibit of Elvis at 21(Great show, BTW) In the atrium as part of the museum's First Fridays series, "Spoken Word Featuring Four Poets Reading" was taking place. The way I have shot, processed and cropped this image creates an impression of forlorn failure. Be sure to look at the picture I chose for my other album to a different point of view. http://365project.org/allie912/whatintheworld/2012-01-08

Nice contrast to #2 which I accidentally saw first! The two shots together make an excellent demonstration. Well done!

Very cool exercise! It's amazing the difference between the two, and it really demonstrates how the photographer can influence and manipulate the viewer's experience.

Your pictures show a good experiment in analyzing how the images create a different point of view. Great idea!

Great demonstration, @allie912. That is a lesson newspaper picture editors learn well and use to advantage, sometimes to confuse.
