I am feeling amazingly grateful today. First, yesterday's photo was so well received, in fact it usurped my most popular photo to date. Second, the sun is out and it is a glorious day. We've had grayness for weeks and it was getting depressing. Clara and I went out for a walk and enjoyed soaking in the vitamin D. And lastly I just got an email from the local photo competition that I recently entered saying that my photo will be included in the competition and exhibition. They select the top 20 for every category and judge those. My Foggy Fences shot from last year will be in the color landscape division.

I am so hoping that it wins something and the image sells so that I can make some money for photo gear (aka a new lens, tripod and remote timer).

@lyno Of course, a group of us are looking for the alphabet this year and putting up our "found" letters by tagging them "alpha-2013." We are all trying to find the whole alphabet in the year as individuals. At the end of the year, we may compile collages of the alphabet and vote on them. I should really start a thread on it. Oh I just love the sunshine shining down :) The sun is finally out today here as well! (but still super cold) Super congrats on all your recent success with your shots. They definitely deserve all the attention they've been getting :) I hope the contest goes well too! :) Yayyy for you my dear! :)
@abhijit No...it is at the same lake, but a different location on the other side. The gazebo is a public place and this is someone's private dock. Thank you! I put up the same gazebo today...a shot I had taken during the day and earlier in the year. The weather is rotten today and I needed to put something up.:)

@sugarmuser And today we have buckets of snow falling. So crazy...actually it rained all day and now it is snowing. Hoping for a snow day with no school tomorrow, but want some sunshine to warm it up! I'm ready for it to be warm again and sunny more often. Winter is LONG!! Thanks, Sharon. I am...but I am concerned about the quality of the photo, only because when it is small her face appears a little unclear. I went to the site mentioned in another print thread (re: metal printing) and entered the photo into it and it actually looked great and they rated the quality for size as excellent. I think magnifying it on my computer is not accurate. Thanks for that one though. I may check it as well. The one from the other thread is Canadian which is a good thing. Let me know how they come out.
@amandalomonaco you may call me 37, I have only granted one other person that privilege :), or Andy works fine. I have purposely kept my full name off the site for reasons I don't need to go into in this forum. Makes me sound like I am some sort of underworld photographer :)
@edie Yikes, now I am worried that large it won't come out well. I ordered 4 prints and it came to around $50 with shipping. Sure hope it works out otherwise I am in trouble!
