I am really struggling getting back into real life again after the trip, birthday weekend and lack o' sleep. Yesterday I was super busy and exhausted. Today I wore shoes for the first time since the wicked blisters that are still slowly healing up. The grayness and rain aren't much helping with the adjustment to reality.
I shot this line of benches at a pretty park in New York recently. I have a thing for benches apparently.
Hope to get back on track and off of the bench again soon! And WOOHOO noticed that I am 50% done with my second year today!
Great shot. I love benches, too! I totally understand how you are feeling. I always find that it's hard to get back to photographing my normal environment after being in new, stimulating places where I'm seeing photographs everywhere. Just rest up a bit and you'll be off this pretty bench before you know it. :)
We've all been benched at least once in our lives, or at least those of us old enough to vote. I like that your bench is Red. Now if only you had a guy named Johnny sitting on it :)
@bpaquette There were a couple of friends sitting on the last bench, but they are blurred out. Thanks, lady. NY was a really pretty state. I loved the green and all of the stonework...and of course the city. If I go back, maybe you can meet me there! How funny that my Michael joined 365, huh?
@fueast Are you feeling it too? I can't even pick up my camera. Though I have an idea and may try it out later today. Tough too as I still have more photos that I want to use from the trip...though getting to the bottom of the barrel finally.
I could sit on that bench right now with my book and enjoy the beautiful day. You should take a seat there too and I am sure you will get your energy levels back up soon :-)
@zambianlass Wish I could. I left it behind in New York last week. I've been back a week now. Still catching up. Wish we could sit and recover together. Ah a good book, friend and a bench...that's the life!
Great bench. Nice line of benches in the background as well. Completely know how you feel. I've been back nearly two weeks and I am going to cut back my time for a while to see if that helps.
Thank you all so much for your comments about my photo slump and image. I actually got inspired yesterday to take some sweet portraits of my daughter and had a lot of fun with it. I also have a couple selfie ideas that I want to pull off soon. Feeling like I am bouncing back again...slowly...Your encouragement is so appreciated.
