Oh my goodness, I never thought I would see the day...putting this up late so perhaps not as many will see this, or I can change my mind come morning. I in no way wish to offend, only to express.
I've come along way with my selfies this year. I made it a big goal of 2013 to rock them, become a selfie expert. I'm really pleased with my progress so far.
This is me as I am. I'm often in glasses, I usually wear no make up, I have never dyed my hair in my life and am glad that it isn't too gray yet. My parts are all my own. I'm a natural, down to earth, ordinary lady.
I love that doing selfies has made me into a model and an actress (in my own world:). I've loved the roles I've played. I love how beautiful being in front of the camera helps me to feel.
Too late. I faved it and it's mine :). Wonderful selfie. Loving the confidence. Nice pose and emotion. Well processed. You should be proud my friend. Good for you!
Oh my and without @gigiz setting it as a challenge or a push!! Fav because you are wonderful and brave. You do rock and for me one of the best things I have found doing this project is that I have made an awesome friend. I am glad you closed the curtain behind you though, would have given the neighbours something to talk about!!
Well done Amanda! This is very tasteful and natural! I do love that 365 helps us to try new things and is such a wonderful place to express ourselves. As much of a struggle as some days are inspiration wise, once inspiration hits, we have a caring community to support our endeavours!

Hey now! Great selfie. My only critique is too much arms, not enough boobies. Grown men revert back to saying "boobies" when they hang around their young grandsons. When you really want to make them laugh you say Bazoombas.

this is awesome, kiddo. the lighting is lovely, i just wished you smiled a bit more - i can feel the tension you were feeling. however, you just managed to set the bar way too high for the rest of us. i love, love, love this as it's very tastefully done (and i'm not saying that just because i happen to like you). (and of course, you know, this just might be pp-bound!)
Absolutely beautiful; love the direct, bold look into the camera and the texture of the backdrop against you...just really an honest, beautiful, real moment. Good for you! Much braver than I!
Kudos to you Amanda! I agree with @summerfield that a smile would have been perfect, but I know the feeling of taking a selfie, but not like this one and I struggle to smile with my clothes on.

And posing for this was tough with the long exposure. Holding still in any pose (like a smile) without twitching is near impossible. I don't want it to look like a frozen botox smile either:). @psychographer Thanks so much, Lisa. This was not on my bucket list. It was on my "I'll never do that" list until one day, I just felt like it and had to do it. I set it up while I had the water boiling for tea and took the shot while my tea steeped. And then I finished and drank a cup of tea. Nice.

I showed Mike some ideas and he was cringing and told me to go practice. When I tried to look sexy, I looked pissed. This was a quick slap job as I told Lisa above, I did this while making myself tea. Wish I had nailed the expression, though...shoot!

@skipt07 It's crazy. I've gotten to where I need sometimes 25+...one time even 40 faves to make PP. That makes it nearly impossible for me most of the time.
@skipt07 - Skip, Ross explained the algorithm recently to say that is also based on your recent performances, so Amanda has set the bar pretty high for her to get on board the PP bus. What she needs is to stop stimulating people with her awesome photography and stop the comments... she then can go bam back on the PP with 'only' 20 faves.
@amandal I'm trying so hard to calm it and in the process have lost some motivation, which upsets me. The relationship certainly suffers when I get too involved though. Finding the right balance is a struggle that I can relate to! x

@zam I processed this a ton of different ways and for some reason was drawn to this version the most. I liked how it made my skin look more natural color and the way my hair looked in the red. The b&w version was meh. Thanks so much for the thoughts, kind comments and fav!

@amandal It's an auto immune disease that attacks the colon. He'll be on a steroid for a few months to get it under control and then a maintenance drug. It's one if those things that might be a minimal annoyance or major. Hopefully he'll have only the occasionally flare up. I'm glad to know what it is and hopeful he'll lead a normal healthy life like me, despite having a chronic illness. Thanks for your concern.
@kwind Oh of course. He's a sweet boy. Glad you know what is going on and praying that it is a minimal thing that allows him to have a pretty normal and active life. He's got soccer to play and laps to swim after all:).
